Health is a fundamental right for everyone and the responsibility of the state
The crisis of the Health System is largely due to the nature of the neoliberal capitalist model with its mercantile logic that conceives health as a commodity and not as a fundamental human right. Consequently, millions of persons throughout our hemisphere find themselves without protection and abandoned by the State, that is subject to the orders and plans of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) and forced to carry out permanent adjustments to the health and social security budgets.
